One of the pioneers of fashion film and photography we admire the most, the French gentleman best known for his striking and prolific photos on the covers of Vogue Magazine, and his iconic portraits of Princess Diana.
Demarchelier's career is fascinating. When he was only 17 years old, he moved to NYC with his girlfriend and discovered fashion photography by chance. He spent years working freelance and learning from the work of great photographers, including Henri Cartier-Bresson, Terry King and Jacques Guilbert. He shot up to fame with his beautiful and honest portrait photography, featured in famous advertising campaigns by huge brands such as Dior, Elle and Marie Claire and then later Vogue and H.B.
